Christmas Is Giving
One of my favorite Christmas songs is It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Yes, as I wrote I heard the music in my head. My soul has a great anchor for this season. When I hear this song I am ready for the season. Christmas is giving. You can have the spirit of Christmas all year long.
What gets your love, sharing, birthday celebration, and gift giving on?
At Christmas God is Giving
Jesus, the one we celebrate as the reason for the season said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) That first celebration of Christ’s birth-Christmas was also a season of giving. “For God so loved the world that he gave…” God gave His best. The Creator gave His own flesh and blood. Eternal love put His own investment in the game. Our eternal Father saw the human predicament and gave His only son. And, wouldn’t you know it, the music of that first celebration was literally angelic. The theater was an open field and the audience was the shepherds. But, they were not the only one’s to be notified. The Wisemen started their trip to see the Christ child after they saw His star in the east. When you look for signs, you see God speaking. God’s gift was His Son!
Giving is the heart of LOVE. Taking what is mine, something I passionately care about, and giving it as seed into another’s life demonstrates love. The Father wants you and me to be like him. Wealthy. Generous. Compassionate. It is simply amazing how God demonstrates love. “For God so loved the world that he gave…” Christmas is giving.
In this 2016 Christmas Season, I want to thank you for demonstrating your love the same way our heavenly Father demonstrated His love. Thank you for the gifts that have made our ministry possible.
Thank you for your gifts and the love you share with our family.
You Help Me Give
A young lady came for help because she was convinced that her marriage was coming to an end. Many years ago her husband, (her boyfriend at that time) abandoned her at a very vulnerable time. And that action sparked a deep pain in her soul.
While I ministered to her, the Lord led her to the place where her biological father abandoned her. She was two. The pain of that abandonment erected walls that stretched a net of fear and anxiety over her entire life.
God met her, loved her, took the abandonment, healed her soul, and restored her love. As she was at the throne, the father imparted a level of love, light, security that restored her identity, established her value, and reinstated the Love of the Father.
With her older daughter and twin sons, her life is full of love, and she has more than enough to go around. Now, she accesses the river of God’s love and let’s the river of forgiveness flow. It was amazing to see God raise her love to fulfillment. Her marriage is restored, and the Lord is glorified. Praise the Lord for His excellent greatness. She learned the secret of Christmas… GIVING!
Thank you for sharing with me in these ventures. Your gifts are a multiplied blessing and I appreciate it so much.
